Take a drive down the Delaware River Valley Scenic Byway designated by the state of Pennsylvania, on Martins Creek Belvidere Highway in Lower Mount Bethel Township (LMBT) to see these two exceptional, nationally protected, and treasured Bald Eagles. Well, that is while you can! See, these official National birds are not only the birds of our country in many ways they have become the face of our country, and this nest is currently AT RISK.

While these two eagles have made a home safely near the Delaware River, an Environmental Center, and a popular nature trail, they may no longer be safe. Just like the residents of LMBT they found a space in an agricultural zone close to things they thought would protect them and their young, and that they call home. The township has recently learned about a potential for a Mega Data Center to consume a large area here, right where this very nest resides.

The residents are in an uproar and have been heard loud and clear at a recent township meeting. The residents continue to rally around each other in preparation to continue to be heard and to advocate to protect their land, health, homes, and futures. But who is going to give the Bald Eagles voice?! They created a home here under the same factors of safe country living near the river that the people did. They worked tirelessly on a large nest and raised their young away from heavy traveled areas, noise and light pollution and other factors that a potential Data Center for them will certainly destroy if we the people do not protect them.

This nest and these birds need our help to ensure their safety in their chosen home on the agricultural land of LMBT. Please sign the petition to help protect them and this rural area.
